Meet Donor Megan, Donated Over 17,000oz of Breast Milk

For Mother’s Day this year, we invited our donors to share their stories as mothers and donors. We hope their stories and tips can make a difference for other donor moms!

Megan M's Donor Story

"My name is Megan and I've been married for almost 5 years to my husband Kevin. We have an amazing 21 month old little boy Brian and we just found out that we have twins on the way. I've been donating to Tiny Treasures for a little over a year. My most difficult obstacle to overcome was when my son went back into the hospital at 3 days old due to not breathing. We found out it was due to him being severely dehydrated because he didn't know how to latch correctly. From that day on, I became an exclusive pumper, pumping night and day for my little boy. My proudest moment of being a donor is when I gained a huge over supply and donated thousands of ounces to many local moms. I found Tiny Treasures and felt so proud to be able to donate to little babies in need. I was blessed to donate over 17,000 oz. My advice to other donors would be that no matter how little or how much you have been blessed to donate, always remember you're doing an amazing thing by helping out so many little babies in need. Even when things get hard and you want to give up, keep pushing and remembering what a huge part you're taking in saving a life."
