Donor Stories
What made you want to become a breastmilk donor?
I wanted to help others who have problems producing, and I have a lot of extra breastmilk. I wanted to put it to good use for someone else who could benefit from it.
Why did you choose to donate to Helping Hands Milk Bank?
I love the fact that for every ounce of breastmilk that gets donated, you donate a dollar for a wonderful cause.
Do you have experiences with a premature little one or the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)?
Yes. As soon as my daughter was born, she was in the NICU for one month. She had surgery the day after being born.
What does it mean to you that your milk donations support Susan G. Komen® research?
I love it!
What is the most rewarding part about donating for you?
Knowing that I get to help someone else who needs it.
