Speaker:

Cathy Laarman is a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) dietitian at a 108-bed, level IV facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has been a registered dietitian for 15 years, a NICU practitioner for nine years, and a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatrics for six years.

Cathy’s extensive experience includes involvement in her NICU’s Breastfeeding Committee, where she helped spearhead the implementation of an Oral Colostrum Swabbing protocol. She has also been an active member of the unit’s Nutrition For Life Committee, which works on implementing and updating various evidence-based nutrition protocols.
